Summary: Kame visits Ryo every day and tells him about his life. He is sure that Ryo can hear him, but he can't answer, because he lies in coma.
Note 2: Written for sweetspicyhot - just because I like you my friend. :))) I know I start a bit earlier with posting it. ^___^ <3 I hope you'll like it.

Kame walked into Ryo's room and he already felt his heart beating faster. It was the day he feared, because he knew he wanted to tell the other one about the next story in their life, but it was the day he wanted to delete, the day which should never exist.

“Hey, Ryo-chan. The doctor told me yesterday that your condition is getting better from day to day. Maybe you come back soon?” Kame sat down on the other side and stroking over Ryo's face.

“I think I will need some more time to tell you about the next story. I won't be easy to remember about that day, because I want to change everything, I want to delete it and write the story new. It was the day my world got destroyed, the day you closed your eyes.” Kame already felt the tears in his eyes and he had to swallow the knot in his throat. He didn't know how he should manage it to tell Ryo about it, but he had to.

He wanted Ryo to know what happened on that day, and he wanted him to know his feelings when he got to know about the accident.

“I was Friday three months ago.” Kame started and swallowed again before he started to tell the other one about it.

Kame came home from work late in the afternoon. He yawned loudly and placed his bag in the corridor. Even though he and Ryo lived there since years, he still loved the apartment and he didn't want to miss this place anymore.

He walked into the kitchen to prepare some food for him and Ryo, because he knew the other one would be hungry when he'd come home. Ryo was on a meeting somewhere outside the town, and he told Kame that he'd come home later on this day.

Kame looked out of the window and winced when he heard the boughs scratching on the window. The wind was blowing and the rain started pouring down. It was a terrible weather, and Kame hoped the other one would return as soon as possible. He didn't like evenings alone at home and without the other one.

Some time later his mobile rang. He wondered, because he didn't know the number on the display. “Yes?” he said and grasped for something to find some hold. He only heard the words “accident, ambulance and hospital” and was already on his way. He reached the hospital before the ambulance and shivered when he saw them arriving, Ryo lying on the Mercier's barrier, his face bloody and he wasn't moving at all.

Kame wanted to run to him, but some policemen held him back and tried to calm him down. “We need some things from you. Before he got unconscious he told us to call you.” One of them said and guided Kame to their car. He was soaking wet and shivered on the whole body. He wanted nothing more than being with Ryo in this moment, but the men needed some things from him.

“What happened?” Kame croaked and already hated the pitiful glance in the men's eyes. “He had an accident. The street was wet, and a second driver lost the control over his car and crashed into Nishikido-san's. He crashed with the tree next to the street, that's all we know.” Kame felt the tears in his eyes and he bit on his lips, suppressing every feeling to come out.

“I want to go to him now, do you need anything from me?” he asked and saw them nodding at him. “We need you to take the private things out of his car. So please follow us now.” One of the men guided Kame to their car and offered him the back seat. Kame wanted to go to the hospital, he wanted to be with Ryo in this moment, but they needed him for some formal things now. He tried to calm himself down, and he believed it wouldn't be that bad, so he trusted the police and drove with them.

He suppressed the tears in his eyes when he saw Ryo's car in the car workshop. “It can't be that he survived that.” Kame whispered and looked at the total damaged car. “It's like a truck rolled over it.” the man there said and walked up to the men.

Kame couldn't say a single word. His world was breaking down and everything was spinning around. He didn't know Ryo's condition, and to see his car totally destroyed didn't make him feel better. The policemen walked around and gave Kame a small package with stuff they could save after the accident.

Kame's brain switched off in this moment, and the next thing he really realized was when he sat in the hospital, and he waited, waited for any information. He looked at the bag between his legs and pulled on the small package which was in it. He opened the card and saw Ryo's handwriting on the top of it.

“For Kazu, nothing special, just because I am glad that you are mine.”

Kame opened the box and saw a silver necklace with a small cross on it in there. He sobbed shortly and pulled the item out to put it around his neck. When he saw the doctors waling into the room, Kame could see that it was nothing good they'd tell him. “How is he? Is everything alright?” Kame's voice was high and nervous and he looked from one to the other.

“He is alive, but he is unconscious and we can't say how long it will be like this.”

“And now I sit here and wait till you come back to me.” Kame wiped away some small tears in his eyes and stared at his boyfriend. “And when I walked into your room for the first time I was relieved that you were alive, but to see you there with all the wounds was terrible. And the thing I miss most is your voice and your sparkling eyes.” Kame sobbed shortly, stroking Ryo's face. “Please come back to me...” he added and put his head on the bed, Ryo's hand still in his.

He couldn't hold it back any longer. The pain and sorrow he felt all the time broke out again. He tried to be cool, to be tough, but it wasn't possible every day and every minute. And especially after he remembered the day when everything happened.

Kame tried to relax, he tried to calm down and wiped away the tears before he sat up again. “Everything is alright again. It doesn't matter how hard I cry, it won't change anything, right?” Kame tried to smile and looked down on Ryo's hand.

There was it – just a single moment, but he could see that it was there. Ryo's finger was moving, only a single millimeter, but it moved. Kame jumped up and ran out of the room. He needed to find a doctor who'd take a look at Ryo. Even if he maybe overreacted, he had to find someone.

“can you help me? Nishikido Ryo, he moved his finger.” Kame said to the nurse, who immediately called for the next doctor.

Kame bounced up and down in front of the room, when he saw someone rushing down the corridor. “Kamenashi-san, he moved?” Kame nodded at the doctor and they walked into Ryo's room.

Kame couldn't believe it when he walked in. Ryo's eyes were open and he stared at the ceiling. “Nishikido-san?”

“Where am I?” he croaked. Kame felt the tears running down his cheeks and he saw the other one turning his head slightly.

“And who am I?” Kame closed his eyes and hoped that it didn't mean what he thought.





A/N: It's coming to an end now, right? Next chapter will be the last one. :) So let's see what will happen.

This was a great update. Hard to read in parts (emotionally) but so poignant. i was thinking if this story doesn't wake Ryo up--nothing will. I feel like we have all been in a situation where we have gotten horrible news, and then everything is a blur and just this sick feeling in the pit of your stomach. I guess what I am trying to say is that it all seemed so real, and that is that highest compliment that I can give--that you wrote it so well that it connected with my personal experience. So thank you for that. Also I loved the necklace, it was such a nice touch. And now Ryo has woken up, but is something wrong. i cannot wait until the next chapter.

YES!!!!!
Seriously, I'm still worried of course, but I'm just so happy that Ryo woke up that I don't want to think about these possible problems. Kame has been waiting for so long and he was so strong, even if Ryo has lost his memory, Kame will be able to stand through this, because now he knows that Ryo is living and awake <3

The memory was so sad >< And so shocking. Especially when Kame found the necklace *cries*
But I loved it how this sad memory mixed up with Ryo suddenly moving his finger!!

This was a very intense moment!

I'll be looking forward to the next chapter <3

Yes, finally he is awake, you are right. And I think you are right, Kame is glad that is awake, the problems now can't be that hard than they were before. He is alive at all.

okay! so just omg. the accident was really painful to read, you know. but it's great that you manage to include sweet things inside the story of that one awful night. ryo just loves kame very much, right? no wonder the younger one couldn't stop hoping. and well, he's hope and wish was actually heard because ryo woke up after such a long time! now kame could prove anyone who didn't believe ryo'd wake wrong! great! just that, i wonder if ryo totally lost his memory? this is really interesting until the very end!
