Your tears are like the rain (One shot)

Summary: Jin betrayed Kame, and he'd never forgive him....

Jin sat on the stone, listening to the sea’s waves. He had his eyes closed and just breathed in the salty and warm air. The wind stroked above his face and he felt the tears in his face draining.

Everything is over

I’ve made so many mistakes

I can’t return

It’s too late

Jin looked at the small waves on the beach and saw some crabs running down the sand, disappearing in the water. He didn’t know how often he wished to be an animal and living without any sorrows and pain, but at least he couldn’t say if they really weren't without these.

He wiped away some of the tears and saw the ships on the horizon. Go far away, that would be a possibility, but his pain wouldn’t disappear only because he’d be far away from him. There was no other chance than living with his pain.

Time can heal the wounds…that was what his mother said, but he doubted that this was true, because he couldn’t think of living without the pain he felt right now. Losing him was like losing his life and it was like a big black hole appeared in his chest.

He closed his eyes and saw the other one’s face in his inner eye,remembering the last happy hours with him in his mind. He felt the other one’s lips on his, and his lips started to beat, burning like fire.

And then he made the mistake and slept with someone else. And he wasn’t able to turn back time, so he had to live with his guilt, but he couldn’t and so he told the other one…and got dumped.

He started crying again when he remembered the other one’s eyes when he told him about his mistake. He could see his heart breaking and his eyes lost every sparkle, and everything because of his stupidity. If I could only turn back time…he said silently and looked again on the see.

His tears were running down his cheeks and he sat there for hours, didn’t recognizing when it started raining.

He heard a low and familiar voice behind him: “Your tears are like the rain”.

He turned around and saw Kame standing down there, his clothes and hair wet and he smiled sadly.

“Why are you here?”, Jin asked and stood up to walk down to the other one.

“I don’t know, maybe I wanted to see you, and maybe I wanted to talk to you”, he answered and saw the other one coming closer.

“You dumped me”, Jin only whispered.

“Yes, but maybe I recognized that I need you”, Kame said and stroked Jin’s face to wipe away the tears and the rain.

“You need me?”, some hope raised up in Jin and he just wanted to feel Kame’s hand on his face forever.

He grasped the hand and before Kame could make anything, Jin pulled him closer.

“I made the most terrible mistake I could make, and I don’t know if you can forgive me…”, he said, holding the other one closer.

“If I couldn’t forgive you, I wouldn’t be here right now, would I?”, Kame answered and leaned into the embrace.

“Jin, everyone makes mistakes, but I think it’s important to forgive…it’s important to give people a second chance”, he added and dissolved from the other one to look into his eyes.

Jin smiled slightly and Kame touched the other one’s lips softly, before he laid his lips on Jin’s.

Jin couldn’t believe what happened right now and leaned into the kiss, hoping that everything would become alright now…

OOOOHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! *_*
That totally hit a nerve. I have a weak spot for... shall I call it remorseful sinners? I mean, it all depends on the situation, but really... nobody's perfect and sometimes you'll just do something incredibly stupid. Although in this case it's actually two stupid things. At least to me - I guess it depends on your personal views. If you do something like that and you realise it was just a stupid mistake, if you love the other and you so won't do anything like it again, at least bare with what you've done and spare the other one the heart-ache. Well, I know it's difficult. So, poor Jin. :(
