The flashback is just adorable <3 I rally love the chemistry between the two. The angst you've mixed with he romance (through the flashback and non-flashback) really fits :)
I hate it when people drift apart, it's always extremely sad. Especially when they both still like the other....it's as if they're being stubborn in a way. I love your last paragraph, it's so heartbreaking and I hope that Ryo will realize that Uchi needed to go a different way but that doens't mean that they had to separate as well. :( I hope this will be a happy ending!
